The responsibilities of our CNA's encompass a wide range of tasks, all of which are aimed at ensuring the comfort of patients, such as providing assistance with daily living activities:
- Obtaining important indicators of a patient's health, including body temperature, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation levels.
- Conversing with patients about their health complaints and relaying the data to a higher medical authority for further evaluation.
- Keeping track of observations in a patient chart that eventually forms a crucial part of their medical history.
- Extending a helping hand to patients who need assistance with transitioning from one position to another.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Keeping up-to-date with state regulations is essential for a Certified Nursing Assistant to maintain good standing
- Proficiency in Basic Life Support (BLS) procedures is a fundamental patient care competence. Knowing how to identify and respond to emergency situations quickly and effectively can save a patient's life
- Proficient use of electronic medical records and precise documentation of patient care is strongly preferred
