As integral members of the healthcare team, our CNA's perform various tasks to support patients, including helping with mobility, ensuring hygiene, and providing emotional support:
- Measuring crucial signs of a patient's wellbeing, such as their body temperature, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation rate.
- Holding conversations with patients about their symptoms and passing on the same to a senior nurse or physician.
- Documenting observations in patient charts that are maintained as an integral part of their medical profile.
- Aiding in the lifting or repositioning of patients with limited movement capabilities.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- It is crucial for a Certified Nursing Assistant to have a positive standing in their state of employment
- Communication skills are also essential to patient care. Being able to communicate in a clear and empathetic manner with patients, their families, and healthcare providers allows for better understanding and improved patient outcomes
- Experience with electronic health records and the ability to accurately document patient information is highly preferred
